New Quiz Grades & EXTRA CREDIT

Happy long weekend!

Hopefully, it will make your weekend to know that after having graded the quizzes for the first two classes, it looks like most have you have done much better! I knew you could do it! That being said, our deal still holds that if the majority of the class got much better scores on this quiz than the first, the first score will go away. **Update** 4th hour, your scores were averaged. This still helped most of your scores. If you would like to see your two scores, let me know Tuesday.

Also, your grades will be published this weekend so you can see your scores on all your assignments. Here are the assignments that will be listed:
  • Workbook, Lesson 1 (10 points) (classes 2, 4, 6 only)
    • 0 if you turned in nothing
    • 5 if you did a little to half
    • 10 if you did 75% to all of the work
  • Locke & Hobbes reading (1 point)
  • Quiz (60 points)
  • Notes from 08/29 (10 points) (classes 4 and 6 only)
  • Bell-Ringer from 08/29 (8 points)
    • 2 points per question answered
  • Study Packet (30 points)
    • 5 points per complete page
Remember, you can turn in assignments late. Make sure to look at your syallbus for the details!

Now for the part you've all been waiting for, EXTRA CREDIT.
Your extra credit opportunity is to correct or expand your incorrect quiz answers. For each response that you submit that is correct, you will receive an added TWO points onto your overall quiz grade. (You will essentially be receiving half credit for correctly resubmitted answer.) These will be due by FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 at the end of the school day. You will get your quizzes back on Tuesday.

Closing thoughts: Awesome, awesome job on the quiz today!!!!!! If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Have a great weekend!
Ms. Crowe.

New classroom feature!

If you want to know what we'll be doing in class, you can look on the new "What am I doing in class today?" calendar. This calendar is posted on the "door to nowhere" right inside the classroom door.

There, you will also find a school and school event calendar. This will list school-wide events, as well as days off and sporting events. If you know of any events that are not on this calendar, feel free to add them.
